Rubbing is Racing

(NOTE: Someone please let the Reddit guys know about this! I’d like to get them onboard as well)

Testing the waters, but I’d like to run a 90 minute multiclass endurance event at Bathurst in the same manner as the Liqui Moly Bathurst 12 Hour. The event will contain three different classes. As Forza 6 allows 24 players, each class will be open to 8 entries unless otherwise stated.

The race will be run with damage, fuel, and tire wear on.

I will run a BoP for two of the classes so that the cars are running at similar lap times. After that it’s up to you to get as much out of the car as you can.

Eligible cars per class are:

2014 Audi R8 LMS ultra
2014 Bentley Continental GT3
2014 Ferrari 458 Italia GTE/GTLM
2015 Lamborghini Huracan LP620-2 Super Trofeo
2014 McLaren 12C GT3
2011/2014 Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT3

2012 Porsche 911 GT3 RS 4.0

2014 BMW M235i
2008 BMW M3
2005 BMW M3
2015 Ford Mustang GT
2012 Lotus Exige S
2011 Mazda RX-8 R3
1965 Shelby Cobra Daytona Coupe (LIMIT ONE ENTRY)
2011 Subaru WRX STI

If there is interest, I will allow three empty spots to be taken by the 2010 Abarth 500 esseesse, in a separate class.

The allowed cars list is based on what I saw in the entry lists from 2014, 2015, and 2016 plus or minus a few. It’d be cool to have the MARC V8 Focus but nooooooooooo. And we can’t engine swap a V8 into any of the Focuses either.

I’d like to run the event in November or December and ask for a volunteer to help with BoP for the GT3 and Production cars.

Please have a car from each class prepared in the event there are too many entries in one class. All cars in the GT3 and Production classes are limited to three entries, so they don’t become spec classes. It is first come first serve in each class. Once a BoP has been created, a new thread will be opened.

I will have a Google Form for sign up and a spreadsheet for entries, if there’s enough interest to run the race.

Race etiquette will follow the posted rules with the addition of safety car and steward’s review rules from the CTSC series.

Hopefully, we can utilize Discord for communications during the race. If we can’t and there’s less than 16 people we will use Xbox Live Chat.

The overall winner will receive the Bathurst 1.5 Kangaroo Trophy. Each class will have a separate podium and trophies as well…which totally aren’t just Microsoft Paint trophies nope not at all.

If you have any questions, comments, or suggestions, feel free to let me know on here or Xbox Live.
